Well we finally get to see the Catholic Curch in it's true colors when it comes to interfaith dialogue. This week both the Pope and the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon said basically that dialoguing with other religions is pointless since the catholic faith is superior and other faiths think THEY are the superior ones. Wow. It's like having a Nazi vs Japanese Imperialist in the 1930's. "- I am the superior one! - No, I am!"

The Pope Benedict (RatSinger for friends) decided to put back a restorer prayer used to convert Jews to Christianity back in the Eater mass services. The result? Well read it yourself:

"Italy's rabbis announced they were pulling out of the Italian Catholic Church's annual celebration of Judaism, saying Pope Benedict XVI's actions were turning back 50 years of interfaith progress.

Speaking for the assembly of Italian rabbis, Elia Enrico Richetti, the chief rabbi of Venice, cited the pope's decision to restore a prayer for the conversion of Jews as part of Easter Week services in the old Latin Mass. First of all, did anyone hear something as to tensions between the Catholics and the Jews lately? 'Cause it makes me feel like I've been out of the loop lately.

Second there was presumption from both parties: the catholic for wanting to forcibly convert people of other faiths (Similar to what the missionaires did in the 1500's) and the jewish rabbis for assuming they were stating that their religion was superior. Wait no, actually I take that back: THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY MEANT TO DO!

Sneaky. Pretty sneaky.

On the Cardinal Patriarch of Lisbon... things were... well much worse. It happened during a simposium on last Tuesday. The following is a translation from portuguese:

To young women: “Caution with who you love. Think twice before marrying a muslim, think very well, it’s going to a pile of trouble that not even Allah knows where it ends”
Regarding relations between the portuguese Catholic Curch and the Muslim religious leaders: “The first steps are being made but it is very difficult because their (muslims) Truth is unique. They want dialogue, they are in a majorily catholic country, because they use it (dialogue) like the wolves, a means to mark their grounds”
Still on interfaith dialogue: "It is only possible to establish dialogue with who wants to do so, for example with our Muslim brothers dialogue is very difficult".

Now if I know one thing about the Muslim community in Portugal it is that it is one of the best in the west when it comes to dialogue and integration. Not even after 9/11 did anyone treat them differently and neither has any of them said stuff like: Islam wants to take over the world, surrender infidels, etc, etc. There was even a journalistic coverage featured one or two years ago that showed relatively happy muslims living in Portugal.

Now this cardinal, he is a as*hole. It's not even the first time he says something like this.

I urge that if you hear anything from him to cover your ears before it does brain damage. You can be defensive of your faith as long as you don't belittle others. That is a democratic and humans rights principle.

And he always fails miserably when it comes to discussing homossexuality, other religions and separation of Church and State.

And may I quote a saying: "Don't do to others, what you don't want to be done to you."

As The Daily Show showed last night seems that Georgie Dubbya doesn't seem to know why people hate him. He believes people hate him over Iraq because of the "Mission Accomplished" banner and that Katrina was because the relief plane passed over New Orleans since there was no police officer's to help people in any other way but to redirect traffic out of the city.

The whole talk about weapons of mass destruction is just directed at muslim countries (you know: God wants everyone to be free, "God" wants it, the Hebrew "God"). Why doesn't the U.S.A. even pressure a country that is now invanding and occupying other and has weapons of mass destruction in great quantity that so happens to be their allie: Israel. Israel has between 75 and 200 undeclared nuclear warheads (they neither confirm it or denie it: to the U.N.) is now invanding the Gaza Strip which is Palestinian territory and has caused great disturbance in a region of great economic importance to the world. They already invaded Lebannon, now Gaza. And the U.S. keeps patting them on their back. The whole reason why we can be sure there is going to be a 3rd World War is because of them. They can't keep their pants "up". They gotta show their testicular fortitude for the world to see. And yet Bush decided to invade Iraq with no evidence whatsoever except a vial in Collin Powells hands. Israel doesn't even get a warning ticket by this Administration. It'll be good ridance next Tuesday.

And the whole Katrina thing was just plain racism Dubbya. That's why people hate you.

That you couldn't take police officer's from redirecting traffic to help people on the streets.

And you feel sorry for the economic meltdown having happened in your time as President? Well when you have an idiot that invests billions of dollars on things that tend not to return money, such as bombs and bullets, you kinda can expect your pockets to get empty so you get more money from the people, who in return have to ask the banks for it to pay you. And when billions just keep flowing out, you can expect banks to soon not have any more money.

Well is He?

Fact is He first created a man... And only when that man finished giving names to every animal the One created (work slave, work!) did he want a partner in his liking (Ew I would like You but you are an old geezer. I mean have you seen the stuff monkeys do? They throw sh** around. Not to mention the flies who eat the sh**). And God tried to "please him" (as in please love me! I just want to be loved! *sniff*, *sniff*). And since that cruel non-reciprocant man didn't give a damn about Him, God put him to sleep and removed one of his ribs (you know, like the Chinese are stealing your organs myth) and created the first woman. From the freakin' rib. And thus aside from the creation of Man and woman (seriously why can't we put it like: Woman? Everyone likes ribs. Except for PETA. Wait they are mostly women. HOT women. I WANT TO GO TO AMERICA... TO HUNT PETA WOMEN!) the first closeted Gay Republican was created in God (Oh and he was an american republican. See his position on Iraq. It's part of his foreign policy: everyone want's to be free. Even from democracy which partly limits freedoms. Anarqy rulez! Oh and God bless America.).
